Another great performance by ZoSo at The State Theater in Falls Church, VA last night. A band called "Lotus Land", a Rush tribute, opened the show and was quite impression. ZoSo gave one of the longest performances I think I've personnaly seem them give so far. They started at 9:30 and finished up just after midnight. Two and a half hours of live Zep. Outside the snow was falling and the wind was blowing while inside "the sun beat down upon my face" and "my eyes filled with sand". Greg's rendition of Moby-Dick went on for 20 minutes (at least) with plenty of improv. All the band members seemed to be really enjoying themselves and there was a lot of interaction with the crowd, Matt at one point saying, "I love this heckling." Rumors began circulating about halfway through the show that every ticket had sold out. I don't know if that's true or not, but from the looks of the crowd I wouldn't be surprised; the place was packed.

As usual I talked to a lot of fellow Zep fans and made a new friend who got one of Greg's drumsticks at the end of the show. The ZoSo comet won't pass near me again until June with two performances at either end of that month: The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD and the "Sandstock" music festival in Virginia Beach, VA. On April 27th, the Great Alternative, LEZ ZEPPELIN, will be back at The State Theater again. Musically, the new year is shaping up quite nicely.
